Ernest Pallascio-Morin was born in Montreal on February 3, 1909.
In 1929, he joined the newspaper La Patrie as a reporter. He moved to the newspaper Le Canada the following year, then to La Presse in 1931. He worked for Le Petit Journal from 1936, then becoming editor-in-chief of the Photo Journal from 1940 to 1942. He participated in the Second World War as an officer for the Naval Information Service, which earned him various military decorations. He returned to La Patrie in 1945, then joined radio station CKAC (Montreal), having served as playwright and director from 1947 to 1959. He moved to Radio-Canada from 1959 to 1962.
Appointed in 1962 director of external relations at the Quebec Ministry of Cultural Affairs, in 1970 he became language commissioner for the Ministry of Education.
His literary work, especially his plays, earned him numerous decorations and mentions.
A prolific author, he has published more than thirty works. In 1992, he was made a knight of the National Order of Quebec.
Ernest Pallascio-Morin died in Montreal on February 26, 1998.
