On this car, the engine was located at the rear, and the driver had perfect visibility. In 1900, the French army became a client of Émile Mors, who would later sell his factories to a young manufacturer named André Citroën.

Wishing to evoke, through Tintin, the history of means of transport, peoples, countries..., Hergé developed the Chromos project with the help of E.P. Jacobs.
The first images appeared in 1946 in the Tintin magazine and the chromolithographs could be obtained in exchange for Tintin stamps.
Initially broader, the project narrowed and became the story of means of transport.
The 300 existing chromolithographs are signed by Hergé and were published in 2 stages.
Firstly, in collaboration with E.P. Jacobs, the series AEROSTABILIZATION and RAILWAYS were published
Then, in collaboration with J. Martin, the series L'AUTOMOBILE DES ORIGINES À 1900, L'AVIATION GUERRE 1939-45, L'AVIATION DES ORIGINES À 1914, LA MARINE DES ORIGINES À 1700, and LA MARINE DE 1700 À 1800 were published.
