Carved yellow bakelite bangle bracelet.
Probably 1930-40.
Inner diameter: 6.3 cm or 2 1/2 inches.
Outer diameter: 7.8 cm or 3 inches.
Width: 2.3 cm or 7/8 inches.
Bakelite was developed between 1907 and 1909 by the Belgian chemist Leo Baekeland.
It was the first plastic made from synthetic polymers.
