Vintage poster representing the coat of arms of Yukon (province of Canada) probably late 1950s.

The wavy blue and white vertical bands represent the Yukon River which gave its name to the territory. The two red pyramids where we see golden disks represent the mountains where gold nuggets were discovered and refer to the Klondike gold rush. The cross of Saint George, which occupies the upper part of the shield, has in the center a medallion with a blue and white pattern which is the heraldic representation of fur (vair). It refers to the fact that the region was first discovered by fur traders working for the Hudson's Bay Company.

This is a beautiful execution of a heraldic poster from the 1950s. Handmade lettering and drawing. Gold paint finish.
Very interesting vintage graphic.
Very good vintage condition. Very slightly dog-eared corners (see photos)
Resplendent colors
