French cartoonist and screenwriter TIBET (1931-2010) is part of the second generation of Lombard editions after the founders HERGÉ, JACOBS, CUVELIER and LAUDY.
He is part of the history of classical comics by being one of the heirs of the LINE CLAIRE propagated by HERGÉ and the founders of THE TINTIN JOURNAL.
TIBET is known as the creator of 2 series. CHICK BILL (drawing and screenplay). RIC HOCHET (drawing, screenwriter A.P. Duchâteau)
TIBET makes its debut in the Belgian version of MICKEY's JOURNAL. He then collaborated with the weekly for youth JUNIOR for which he created the series CHICK BILL in 1953.
This series was later taken up by the TINTIN JOURNAL and TIBET had to change its design, previously inspired by WALT DISNEY, to conform to the style of HERGÉ called THE CLAIRE LINE.
TIBET became one of the main collaborators of THE TINTIN JOURNAL and created in 1955 with A.P. Duchateâu the RIC HOCHET series.
This series built around the detective journalist RIC HOCHET includes 78 albums.
TRAQUENARD IN HAVRE is the first album in the series.
