            Very rare Tintin calendar holder depicting the cover page of the album "The Crab with the Golden Claws".

This appliqué on 4mm plywood with a protective "matte" varnish applied to both sides comes from a series of 4 screen-printed sheets from the 'The Amateur Artist' series, intended for making various displays yourself. (see last photo).
This series was produced in 1954 by the Belgian company Obra, a tool and accessories store.
It included plans for making a calendar holder, a coat rack, a wall sconce, and a cactus shelf.
This refers to the series: - The calendar holder (No. 3011)
34.5cm x 18cm.
Good overall condition except for:
Tintin is missing from the top left (see photos).
Very slight defect to the right of Tintin's camel (see photos).
