Bookseller, publisher and printer since 1875, Emmanuel Vitte (1849-1928) became in 1903 supplier of textbooks to Catholic schools and publisher of school books in the L'ÉCOLE LIBRE collection.
Seeking to be a classic bookseller, the Vitte house works with free schools, that is to say those which want to be the defenders of religious education.
A text, published in 1903, is outraged by the political desire to separate church and state. As such, it is therefore the responsibility of Catholic publishers to make available to students and teachers classics imbued with the Christian spirit in order to nourish and develop religious feelings in children.

“My first little book” perfectly conveys this idea of education
