Small vintage Japanese doll made using the Kimekomi technique, representing a little girl dressed in a silk brocade kimono and holding a paper kite in her hand.
The structure of the body appears of wood probably covered with clay with integrated fabric
The head appears to be made of carved plaster covered with Gofun.
Hand-painted facial feature.
Small black wig.
Plastic hands.
Very good vintage condition despite cracks in the Gofun on the face (see photos)
Height: 18 cm or 7 inches
Width from hand to hand: 13 cm or 5 inches

KIMEKOMI is a Japanese tradition where several artisans participate in the making of the same doll.
