Tweed/mohair checked jacket and skirt set in shades of navy blue, two-tone mauve and red from the Jacob-Crowley brand of the 70s.

A semi-fitted jacket with long sleeves and a tailored lapel collar (the collar has a rounded drop).
4 French buttonholes on the front, 1 inch or 2.5 cm in diameter, and 4 marine flower-shaped plastic buttons with a mauve-tinted mother-of-pearl center, 3/4 inch or 1.5 cm in diameter.
The jacket features two details mimicking patch pockets.

Dry clean only, exterior, 84% wool, 15.5% viscose, 1% nylon.

In 1919, the partnership was incorporated as the Jacob Crowley Manufacturing Company Ltd., specializing in women's clothing. The company was not only a pioneer in Winnipeg's garment industry but also played a key role in introducing unionization to the needle trades.
