The final Blake and Mortimer adventure, drawn and written by E.P. Jacobs (1904-1987). The second part of the story was completed by Bob de Moor, based on the sketches and script left by Jacobs during his lifetime.

A passionate opera lover and initially a commercial illustrator, Jacobs worked for the Belgian magazine Bravo! and began his career in comics during the Second World War by completing a Flash Gordon adventure in place of the author Alex Raymond, whose pages were no longer arriving in Belgium due to the global conflict. He later drew inspiration from Flash Gordon to create "Le Rayon U".
He participated with HERGÉ in the creation of the TINTIN JOURNAL and created the BLAKE AND MORTIMER series which would have 8 episodes.
Along with HERGÉ, JACOBS is considered one of the masters of the clear line style and of the Belgian school of comics.
