Triangular-shaped Art Deco butterfly wing pendant depicting an 18th century woman wearing a large hat, period dress and Pompadour style hairstyle.

This jewel dating from the Art Deco era (1920-30) is designed according to the technique of inverted scene painted on the glass covering the butterfly wing.
This technique became world famous following the "British empire exhibition" of 1924 where THOMAS MOTT, its creator, exhibited his first jewels.
